Leading up to the publication of Play Shop, Valcon Comics held an art competition for young students to participate in. Students could submit their own art projects inspired by the four artists featured in Play Shop: Frida Kahlo, Georges Seurat, Pablo Picasso, and Michelangelo. The top winner (featured on the left image) won first place. The top four art pieces were published in Play Shop.
